New website offers free computer and Internet training

<p>A new website offering free access to computer and Internet training resources was launched in Montevideo, Uruguay on 29 November. <BR><BR>‘ItrainOnline’ — found at <a href="http://www.itrainonline.org" target=”_blank” rel="noopener noreferrer">www.itrainonline.org</A> — aims to bring together computer training resources developed by and for non-governmental organisations, development organisations and other civil society groups. <BR><BR>Topics covered range from computer and Internet basics to building online communities and incorporating audio and video into websites.<BR><BR>The site — launched in English and Spanish with a view to adding more languages in 2002 — has been created by six international organisations: the Association for Progressive Communications; Bellanet International Secretariat; the International Institute for Communication and Development; the International Institute for Sustainable Development; the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications and OneWorld.<BR><BR>© SciDev.Net 2001</p>
