<p>During the <em>SciDev.Net</em> Readers’ conference call On 19, July 2022, our team of regional editors and a panel of experts looked at how countries in Sub-Saharan Africa are working to transform cancer care as cases of the disease soar in the region.</p>
<p>The panel included Tolulope Falowo, executive director of CancerAware Nigeria, Beatrice Addai, a consultant breast surgeon from Ghana, and ‘Smartbra’ inventor Kemisola Bolarinwa.</p>
