UNEP-WCMC is the global biodiversity information and assessment centre for the United Nations Environment Program. Its roots go back to 1979 when it was set up as the Cambridge (United Kingdom) office of the World Conservation Union. The Centre’s activities include assessment and early warning studies in forest, dryland, freshwater and marine ecosystems. The Centre’s website is a rich repository of biodiversity data from most parts of the world. {{LINK_LABEL_GO_TO_WEBSITE}}
