Jigyasa Mishra is an independent journalist, photographer, and visual artist reporting on gender, health, civil liberties, and travel across India. She has written and photographed for global and national publications on complex issues such as sexual abuse, human trafficking, and sand mafias, winning national awards. Her work has featured in Al Jazeera, People’s Archive of Rural India (PARI), The Times of India, and Condé Nast Traveller, among others. She has also produced audio documentaries for BBC World Service and documentary work for Voice of America. Jigyasa reports from extreme conditions and on stories that mainstream media often fails to reach.
