Fazlun Khalid is an advisor to the UN on environment and faith. He is a member of the Governing Council of the United Nations Environment Programme, a member of the UN Task Team on Religion and of the UN’s Development Advisory Council. As the founding director of the Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences (IFEES), he is recognised as one of top fifteen leading eco-theologians in the world.
He has appeared in the Independent on Sunday’s list of the UK’s top 100 environmentalists and is also listed among the 500 most influential Muslims globally by the RSCIS.
