Caterina Elizondo Lucci has a degree in degree in journalism from the University of Costa Rica, and holds a specialization in Science and Technology Communication from the University of Oviedo and the Organization of Ibero-American State.

Caterina has worked as a journalist since 2010; she has previously worked as communications officer in the Ministry of Science and Technology of Costa Rica, and currently works at the University of Costa Rica.

Caterina joined SciDev.Net in July 2014 as a freelance journalist and was the Digital Producer until April 2020.
