Matthew M. Kavanagh is a political scientist working at the intersection of law, politics and health in low- and middle-income countries. He is director of the Center for Global Health Policy and Politics at Georgetown University where he is also associate professor of global health and visiting professor of law. He currently serves as a special advisor to the UNAIDS executive director and the Global Council on Inequality, AIDS and Pandemics.
