Donation appeal: We need your support
SciDev.Net works to make science communication more effective across the developing world. We need your support
Why donate?
SciDev.Net is not a commercial website. We don't charge for our content and we want to keep it that way. Our money comes from a number of international aid agencies and grant making trusts, but we are seeking broader support from individuals and other organisations so we can continue our work and develop SciDev.Net further.
Your generous donation will let SciDev.Net report more widely on science as it affects the developing world. Your contribution directly helps provide more people with the science and technology-related knowledge that helps them make the decisions that are so vital for sustainable development.
And SciDev.Net is not just about information, it is also about people. We help train and support journalists and other science communicators in developing countries. Your donation lets us nurture and encourage these people, developing their skills so as to build capacity for science communication in developing countries.

Regular Giving
Could you help us with a regular gift each month by direct debit? It would let us plan ahead with confidence and help secure a long-term future for poor communities worldwide.
Gift Aid
UK taxpayers - don't forget we can make your gifts worth 20 per cent more at no extra cost to you. Check the boxes on your donation forms.
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of increasing your contribution. Using Gift Aid means that every £1 you give is worth £1.25 to SciDev.Net because we reclaim the basic tax paid on your donation - and it doesn't cost you anything.
Corporate funding
It's our strong relationships with organisations who share our values and goals that make much of SciDev.Net's work possible.
Corporate support gives us the capacity to spread our net wider, reaching more people with our work.
If your organisation is interested in discussing a partnership, providing support or donating to SciDev.Net, please get in touch with [email protected]
Other ways to help
You can also support SciDev.Net's work by spreading the word: let others know you value our service. You've heard of us, but have all your colleagues? Telling them about SciDev.Net helps us reach out to more people.
Forward your favourite SciDev.Net articles to a friend, share them on social bookmarking sites like Delicious, Digg and Facebook, or tweet them to your audience.
If you have a website, or a blog, subscribe to our news webfeeds, link from your site to SciDev.Net or add our logo onto your site. It will show your support and prompt others to find our website.
