She started working as a journalist at Nature Biotechnology in the 1990s and has worked with not-for-profits, healthcare providers, and biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Louise volunteers on the advisory group of the Patient Information Forum in the UK. She has a BA in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and is studying for an MSc in Public Health at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
