Improving science training is vital to unlocking creativity and innovation in Arab countries, say Abdullatif Husseini, Rania Saas and Ronald E. LaPorte in this letter to Nature.

They describe an Arabic 'Supercourse' of free-access PowerPoint lectures for instructors, including continuously updated lectures describing health issues in various Arab countries.

The Supercourse aims to raise the quality of research and teaching in Arab institutions, and to end the isolation of Arab scientists through greater Internet interaction with non-Arab countries.
