Keith Hamilton is the head of the preparedness and resilience department at the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE). He is a veterinarian with years of experience in emergency management, pandemic preparedness and emerging infectious diseases. Prior to joining the OIE, he worked for the UK government, advising on policies for exotic animal disease surveillance and control. He was born in Jersey, Channel Islands, and educated at Liverpool University Veterinary School and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
