<p>The introduction of adequate <a href="https://www.scidev.net/enterprise/technology/">technologies</a> is crucial to easing <a href="https://www.scidev.net/environment/climate-change/">climate change</a> impacts and building resilience, but international agreements over their transfer often fail to meet their goals.<br />

To tackle the problem, the UN Environment Programme assesses the technology needs of climate-<a href="https://www.scidev.net/governance/vulnerability/">vulnerable</a> countries and helps them overcome the barriers to adopting and developing suitable technological infrastructure.</p>
