David Ainsworth’s passion for science and technology dates back to his secondary school, where an inspiring chemistry teacher nurtured his curiosity about batteries.

Fast forward to the present and Ainsworth heads the R&D department of OXIS Energy, where he works on the next generation of lithium batteries. These use sulphur and could theoretically store nearly five times more electricity than conventional batteries.

In this new episode of Game Changers, Ainsworth talks about his journey from inquisitive student to accomplished scientist, and guides us through the technology that could offer a global breakthrough, particularly for energy-scarce developing countries.
