<p>David Ainsworth’s passion for science and technology dates back to his secondary school, where an inspiring chemistry teacher nurtured his curiosity about batteries.<br />

Fast forward to the present and Ainsworth heads the R&D department of OXIS Energy, where he works on the <a href="http://www.oxisenergy.com/technology/">next generation of lithium batteries</a>. These use sulphur and could theoretically store nearly five times more electricity than conventional batteries.<br />

In this new episode of Game Changers, Ainsworth talks about his journey from inquisitive student to accomplished scientist, and guides us through the technology that could offer a global breakthrough, particularly for energy-scarce developing countries. </p>
