<p>“We neglect radio at our peril,” says Mark Galloway, the director of the International Broadcasting Trust in this audio interview to coincide with World Radio Day. He believes community radio plays a crucial role in informing and altering the attitudes of poor people in the developing world as it “gives a voice to ordinary people”. Galloway sees great potential in the use of community radio drama to disseminate research and change the behaviour of communities who cannot be emotionally engaged by other forms of <a href="https://www.scidev.net/communication/">communication</a>. </p>
