Profile

Samuel Hinneh is a freelance science journalist. He is one of the most prolific and consistent contributors for SciDev.Net. Hinneh has great interest in developmental issues mainly focusing on food security, biodiversity, climate change and other environmental topics.

He has a bachelor’s degree in rural and community development from the Presbyterian University College, Ghana and a diploma in communication studies from African University College of Communications.

In 2013, he received the Netherlands Fellowship Programme to study International Communication, Journalism Specialisation at the Christian University of Applied Science (CHE), Ede, The Netherlands.
He has won several media fellowships such as Biosciences for Farming in Africa (B4FA) media fellowship programme, and the Africa Means Business Fellowship and has covered numerous local and international conferences around the world.
