Claudia Mazzeo

Profile

Claudia Mazzeo is a journalist specialized in science, technology and environment, and holds a master’s degree in water management from the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires (FCV UBA).
She has been a contributor to SciDev.Net since 2013 and occasionally writes for other media.
Since 2022, she has coordinated the Communication of the Forum for the Conservation of the Patagonian Sea and Areas of Influence, a network of 25 organizations from Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay.
She was director of the CyTA News Agency, specialized in science and technology, and of the Science and Technology Outreach Program of the Leloir Institute Foundation. She also directed the Communication area of the National Institute of Industrial Technology (2011-2017) and of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, UBA (2018-2022).
She is also full professor of science journalism (UCES) and communication (UCA), and guest lecturer in two postgraduate programs at the UBA.
