It has hubs in China, Korea and Japan, and five national centres in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The website provides information on nuclear power in Asian countries on topics that include waste management, emergency preparedness and education and training. It also publishes newsletters that report on relevant training workshops and meetings.

This website publishes information about climate change mitigation through forest carbon sequestration and storage across Asia. It provides news and views from the media, a library of publications, directories of forest carbon stakeholders, announcements about vacancies and events, links to useful resources and reviews of science and policy developments in the field. The publications section includes in-house articles and research reports that review developments, identify gaps and draw lessons from forest carbon activities in the region. Readers can comment, engage in discussion and contribute information to the website.

NanoChina offers a range of information services on nanotechnology in China. They include: a news service, advertising for nanotechnology products, business networking opportunities in China and trade directories in English and Chinese, reports on nanotechnology developments in China and the rest of the world, event planning for conferences, meetings, workshops and visits taking place in China. NanoChina also offers a specialised translation service from Chinese to English and vice-versa for reports, articles, news stories, newsletters, press releases, advertisements, conference and marketing literature. NanoChina was launched in February 2006 by the U.K. based Institute of Nanotechnology.

PAN promotes information networking in Asia, linking people and online information resources on sustainable development from Asian organisations. By promoting collaboration in research and development through information use and exchange, PAN connects individuals and institutions for knowledge-sharing across Asia and the rest of the world. PAN is an initiative of the Canadian International Development Research Centre.

Sentinel Asia, a project led by the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum, provides a platform for promoting remote sensing data for disaster management and for sharing information on disasters in the Asia-Pacific region.

The project draws on data from a range of satellite sensors, including MODIS and AMSR-E among others, to distribute imagery and publish information on wildfires and floods as they occur. Sentinel Asia also offers training and coordinates emergency observation requests for a number of satellites.

The Commission is an intergovernmental and international organisation aimed at the uplift of developing countries through applications of science and technology. Established in 1994 at the instigation of Nobel Laureate Abdus Salam, it has 21 member countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. It runs meetings and workshops as well as a network of centres of excellence in selected areas of science and technology.
