Key objectives

The scientific knowledge about “complex behavior” has been maturing intensively during the last years, and besides, it is closely related to the prevention and solution of the most important problems nowadays for human society. Complexity Science, Engineering and Education, Complex Thought, Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Research and Education are fundamental ways of facing the solution of complex problems. Even so the achieved level of systematization of scientific knowledge in this field, there remain still different views, open problems, misunderstandings, difficult issues, and above all, the need for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary meetings which promote an open dialogue between the diversity of perspectives and perceptions. Complexity 2013 call for participating in such topics, which contribute enriching and systematizing the scientific knowledge about the complex behavior of systems and/or its use in the solution of relevant complex problems for the social, human and sustainable development. The Organizing Committee is working to reach this goal taking into account the diversity of views, and will propose an attractive Scientific Program, where participants will feel motivated all the time.

Registration fees

Note: CUC means Cuban Convertible Currency. CUP means Cuban National Currency. For foreign participants Category CUC Professional 100.00 Student 60.00 Accompanying people 50.00 Student means: Postgraduate or Undergraduate students certified as currently attending to formation programs at Cuban universities. For nationals Category CUP Professional 100.00 Student 60.00.

The fee covers the access to all the sessions and to materials of the event. It does not include accommodation nor food.

Registration details

The payment in CUC will be in cash. It is recommended bringing your currency in Euros, Sterling Pounds, Canadian Dollars or Swiss Francs, to be changed to CUC at the International Airport or in any Cuban bank. Anyone who is interested in receiving an invitation letter can ask it from the Organizing Committee. Accompanying people will have a special program. The transfers from the airport to the contracted destiny and back will be carried out in collective buses.
