The Advanced Search function enables you to find specific articles and notices that are of interest to you.
The following text provides some hints and tips to help you use the function to find articles and notices according to specific search terms and parameters.

Search for: Use this text box to add keywords relevant for your search. For example, if you add the term swine flu results returned will contain one or both of the search terms in the title and/or main body of returned articles.
Results may be further ordered by the following parameters:
Articles: Use the articles field if you are only interested in certain types of content, for example news, opinions, key documents, etc.
Authors: Use the author field if you are interested in content written by one of our team of writers, for example enter Linda Nordling (or simply Nordling)if you wish to find articles written by her.
Source: Use the source field if you are interested in original articles commissioned by SciDev.Net, then enter SciDev.Net into this field. For summary articles and key documents from other publications enter the name of the publication into the source field. For example entering Science or Nature will return summaries of articles from those publications. Our partnership with those journals enable you to have free access to articles in the original articles in those publications.
Organisation name: Use this field if you are looking for information posted by a specific organisation. This field is only used in notices (announcements, event, grants and jobs).
Location: Use this field if you are looking for location specific content. This is only used in notices (announcements, event, grants and jobs).
Topics: Use the topic field if you are looking for content relating to a specific topic (Agriculture & Environment, Climate Change & Energy, Health, New Technologies, Science & Innovation Policy and Science Communication).
Note that multiple topics can be selected using the Ctrl key, which will return results containing content with articles tagged to all those regions selected.
Regions: Use the region field if you are looking for content relating to a specific developing region (China, Latin America & Caribbean, Middle East & North Africa, South Asia, South-East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa).

Subtopics: Use the subtopic field if you are looking for content relating to a specific subtopic. Note that only single subtopics can be selected as a filter.
Published date: Use the published date field to find content published between a specific date period.
Sort results by: Use this field to order results by how relevant they are to the search term provided or date of publication. Results can also be ordered alphabetically by title.
