AfricaAdapt is a bilingual (English/French) network of African researchers, policymakers, civil society organisations and local communities that encourages information sharing on climate change adaptation for Africa.

The network publishes information on its activities including workshops, innovation funding, radio programmes in local languages and news services for mobile phones. It also publishes video, audio and photo stories to present community perspectives on climate change adaptation methods. It links to key organisations and publications on adaptation in several fields including agriculture, fisheries, forestry, energy, water and health.

This network aims to pool, analyse and share information on nuclear energy as well as practical experience to help improve knowledge and regional cooperation on nuclear safety in Asian countries. It has hubs in China, Korea and Japan, and five national centres in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The website provides information on nuclear power in Asian countries on topics that include waste management, emergency preparedness and education and training. It also publishes newsletters that report on relevant training workshops and meetings.

Biopact is a non-profit volunteer organisation connecting African and European citizens. It seeks to establish a 'mutually beneficial' biofuel and bioenergy relationship between the two continents. The group is web-based, and provides consulting services for a number of initiatives, including various bioenergy projects in the South.

Some of Biopact's ongoing projects include compiling an 'atlas' of biofuel production for use in estimating production factors, and exploiting Nica fruticans, a potential Nigerian biofuel crop.

The organisation's aim is to produce rigorous standards for evaluating how land-based projects for climate change mitigation impact the climate, communities and biodiversity (CCB). Developers can use the standards when developing and implementing carbon projects to gain credibility and support.

The CCB standards are available to download for free in English, Chinese, French and Spanish amongst other languages. The Climate Prediction Centre's African Desk aims to create a partnership between the United States' National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) and the African Meteorological Services to encourage exchange of data and train meteorologists. 

The website contains weather summaries, rainfall, monsoon predictions and various short and long term weather forecasts. The African Desk also hosts two visitors at a time for training in climate change monitoring and predictions methods.

This website hosts the Earth Journalism Network, which aims to help journalists from developing countries to report on environmental issues more effectively. The network was developed by the Internews Network and Internews Europe and it organises the Earth Journalism Awards programme.

This website publishes information about climate change mitigation through forest carbon sequestration and storage across Asia. It provides news and views from the media, a library of publications, directories of forest carbon stakeholders, announcements about vacancies and events, links to useful resources and reviews of science and policy developments in the field. The publications section includes in-house articles and research reports that review developments, identify gaps and draw lessons from forest carbon activities in the region. Readers can comment, engage in discussion and contribute information to the website.

This network was developed by a German company, Ecofys, upon the initiative and with support from the Federal Environmental Agency of Germany and the European Commission. GBEP aims to unite G8+5 countries in a commitment to promoting bioenergy for sustainable development. Its primary activities relate to energy security, food security and sustainable development.

GBEP aims to produce an updated inventory of networks, initiatives and institutions dealing with bioenergy. It also seeks to: identify gaps in knowledge or areas of weak understanding; carry out feasibility studies for market building activities, in cooperation with developing countries; establish mechanisms for raising awareness and dealing with internationally relevant issues, such as environmental standards, food security and trade, and gaps in technology and policy; and formulate standard guidelines to measure emission reductions gained by promoting and using biofuels in the transport and energy generation sectors.

The Global Climate Network — a coalition of nine think tanks from the developed and developing world — publishes news, commentary and reports on climate policy. It considers what technologies and financial instruments governments must put in place to combat climate change, as well as the policies needed to promote rapid growth in climate-friendly innovations and exploit new economic opportunities.

LAMNET is a worldwide network of 48 institutions from 24 countries, funded by the European Commission.
