Earth Journalism Network

This website hosts the Earth Journalism Network, which aims to help journalists from developing countries to report on environmental issues more effectively. The network was developed by the Internews Network and Internews Europe and it organises the Earth Journalism Awards programme.

It also establishes links among environmental journalists, offering capacity building through workshops, training materials, support for production and distribution, and small grants. The website provides information about the Network's activities and partners, fellowship programmes, and useful tools and resources. These include a toolkit and online courses with tips on how to report on popular environmental issues, and studies of environmental journalism.

Guardian Environment

The Guardian Environment website publishes news and commentary on environmental issues such as climate change, energy, ethical living, food and recycling.

It also provides blogs, job listings and multimedia, including audio and video podcasts. Users can comment and are encouraged to join discussions.

The website also aggregates relevant news from members of the Guardian Environment Network, which brings together the world's best environment websites including SciDev.Net, China Dialogue, Real Science and the World Resources Institute.

Online Access to Research in the Environment (OARE)

This website is an international public–private consortium that provides developing countries with free or low-cost access to environmental science research. It is coordinated by the UN Environment Programme, Yale University, and science and technology publishers.

More than 100 low-income countries can access more than 4,000 peer reviewed titles (as of October 2011) on a wide range of subjects including climate change, renewable energy, forests, natural disasters and water.
