Profile

Cecilia Rosen started to work as an independent science journalist in 2006 and currently collaborates with diverse media in Mexico, including TVUNAM and Chilango. Cecilia is also a researcher and teacher in science communication, journalism and science and society studies. She has worked as coordinator and editor in chief of the radio series  Hábitat Ciencia, a project supported by the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico. She has also worked as reporter and editor in science at newspaper Reforma (Mexico) from 2007 until 2009. 

In 2018, Cecilia got a PhD in Social Sciences by the Latin American School of Social Sciences (FLACSO) and in 2010 obtained her MSc in Science Communication at Imperial College of London, when she took professional practices at SciDev.Net.

She has received scholarships for postgraduate studies in the UK and Argentina, and several fellowships for training in journalism by the Climate Change Media Partnership, Internews and the World Federation of Science Journalists. 

She is a contributor to SciDev.Net since 2011.
